The purposes of Catemaco Ayurveda Institute fall into several broad categories:

Healing Products
- To grow, manufacture, market and distribute locally-grown organic healing herbs, essences, waters and sacred substances.
- To make the best quality herbal products and sacred healing substances easily and conveniently available to practitioners and students of Ayurveda, including the general worldwide public, through the Internet.
- To maintain the highest standards of purity, organic agriculture and land management, packaging, customer service and trade practices in our operations.
Ayurvedic Education
- To educate practitioners, students and the general public in the advantages, benefits and methods of Ayurvedic medicine.
- To encourage people in general to understand, explore and eventually, to prefer Ayurvedic techniques for health maintenance.
- To promote the original spiritual understanding, philosophy and practices of Ayurveda to an international audience.
- To provide practitioners, students and users of Ayurveda with adequate, accurate training and education in its theory, applications and ethics.
Ayurvedic Treatment
- To promote the Ayurvedic ethic that a little prevention is more valuable than a lot of cure; that the best method of maintaining health is to avoid contaminating materialistic activities, especially eating meat, fish and eggs, illicit sex, intoxication, speculation and gambling.
- To promote the Ayurvedic ethic that a low-stress, spiritually oriented community life in a pure, natural rural location is the best foundation for healthy living.
- To offer and provide facilities in a natural environment for retreat from stressful living in materialistic cities.
- To consult with local providers of Ayurvedic and other compatible treatment modalities and make these treatments available to our clients.
Technology Exchange
- To exchange advanced appropriate technology, such as heatless extraction techniques, satellite Internet connectivity, business models and merchandising with members of our host village community.
- To introduce traditional Vedic healing herbs and food items such as neem, asafetida, dahl etc. with local herbalists.
- To gather and disseminate information on the identification, cultivation, preparation and use of healing herbs, especially those of the local area.
